“I was looking for vinyl plank flooring for the kitchen and the big box stores didn’t have what I was looking for. I stopped in at Duncan flooring and found a product made by Shaw flooring. Christine the sales person was very informative on all the products especially Shaw. The floor plank came 6″ X 48″ which made a nice complement in my home. It was a loose lay install (not glued down). The floor was very easy to install and has been down for 6 months with no problems. When I was removing the original 12″ X 12″ self stick vinyl in the kitchen a sticky film was left on underlayment. Christine suggested to use a product called Ardex. Comes in powder form. Mix with water spread over subfloor with 16″ cement finishing trowel very thin application. There were a few spots I needed to glue the plank so used clear silicone with caulk gun which made it easy to apply. There are many products out there If you can’t find it at the big box stores do what I did. (see more photos) “

“Carlos Noda of Duncan Flooring Specialist treated my small condominium as if it were a mansion. The Northwood Oak flooring is so beautiful that several visitors have thought the engineered Luxury Vinyl Tile is hardwood. On Wednesday, Mr. Noda made a special trip to the job site to present independent laboratory test reports on sound ratings to the Chief Engineer for the Home Owners Association (HOA) in the 100-story skyscraper where neighbors value quietness from the floor above them. The Chief Engineer was impressed by the technology for both the underlayment and flooring each of which separately exceeded the sound ratings required by the HOA. With materials approved, Mr. Noda did not miss a beat. He scheduled installation to start the next day! Thursday a crew of five enthusiastic installers worked quickly to spread a fast drying leveling material, apply the high tech sound-muffling underlayment, and start to install the flooring. Friday, three crew returned to finish the job including exquisite base and base shoe. Jeff Kutzer is the Project Manager that will oversee your installation from start to finish. He comes out to look at your job and then offers those extra little installation ideas that make a good thing a great one. These tips can only come from someone who has over 30 years experience like Jeff does. He is there when the installers start and follows up when they are done.

“Carlos helped us with the carpeting of our entire law office building. The man is a flooring genius. He helped us pick out the perfect carpet for our budget and the place looks beautiful. Everyone who sees it says something like “boy this must have cost a lot or, “wow, who did your carpeting…” But, it was reasonable. The installers were right on time, finished promptly, and did a great job – you’d need a magnifying glass to find the seams. These people do a great job!!!! Five stars for Duncan, no doubt.”
